Based in Bishop, California, Hans Wendl Produktion provides a wide range of services to musicians, from record production to management, booking, and publishing administration. Among our clients are such jazz luminaries as Bill Frisell, Dafnis Prieto, and Edward Simon. Hans Wendl¹s record productions with musicians such as Don Byron, Charlie Haden, Bill Frisell, Ravi Shankar, Peter Apfelbaum, Medeski Martin & Wood, and Tin Hat Trio have received numerous international prizes, including a Grammy Award for Ravi Shankar’s “Full Circle ­Carnegie Hall 2000” and five Grammy nominations. Wendl’s interests and expertise are wide ranging, embracing first and foremost jazz, but also classical, Indian, African, Latin, Brazilian, Scandinavian, and film music.

Wendl began his career in the music business in the mid-1970s with ECM Records in his hometown of Munich and was associated with the renowned German label for twelve years before moving to California in 1986. Since then, he has been active as an independent producer, label director (Gramavision/ Rykodisc, 1995-97), manager, booking agent, and consultant for a distinguished list of musicians.
